We are very sorry, Tara and family, to hear of the loss of your mother. Your mom’s athletic abilities for swimming and skiing up until the last couple of years were truly amazing. Our visits to your cottage and ours were always welcoming and friendly.

Betty was the lock and key to a strong family unit and, as her nephew, the guardian of a door that seemed always open and welcoming — a real role model. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Condolences to Tara and Janice and their collective family. The world lost a good one.

Dear Tara,
We were so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. We have such warm memories of the time we all spent together at the cottage. One moment that still makes us smile is when your mom came over for dinner, cheerfully carrying her own gin and tonic—so full of character and charm. We also remember a lovely hike through the forest with her, and of course, the unforgettable boat ride.
Your mom’s joyful spirit left a lasting impression. Please know we are thinking of you all and sending our heartfelt condolences.
