Charles (Chuck) Frederick Davies was a friend to every human and animal he ever met. He leaves behind particularly his wife and soulmate Donna, as well as his son Craig, his stepchildren Scott (Linda), Randy (Noelle), and Lori (Allen), and his grandchildren Eden (Stefan), Gemma, Kyra, and Garrett, as well as the world’s luckiest cat, Honey.
Raised in Brantford, ON, by Elmer and Leta Davies with one brother Lorne, all of whom are deceased. Chuck spent his 87 years in the very best way possible — making other people smile. A fierce advocate, loyal friend, devoted animal lover, enthusiastic golfer, and loving husband, father and grandfather. Chuck’s impact will be felt by those who were lucky enough to know him, for the rest of their lives. Though his career as an accountant was with Coca Cola and affiliated companies, his retirement was spent working with horses whom he loved and as a revered school bus driver and crossing guard in his home of Caledon East. He loved people so much and so well and was so fond of the children he was able to help.
He passed away in his sleep on December 10, 2024, after valiantly fighting many issues.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Sunday, December 22 from 2 to 4 o’clock.
A Ceremony of Remembrance will be held in the chapel on Monday, December 23 at 2 pm, with a reception to follow.

We are so sorry to hear of Chuck’s passing. Our neighbourhood will not be the same.
Chuck always had the time to wave and chat with us and the dog too no matter where we ran into each other.
Our daughter loved having Chuck as her bus driver. As parents, we loved the fact that Chuck treated our kids with respect and enjoyed being their driver.
So long to a great story teller.
Rest in peace

I send my sincere condolences during this time of deep sorrow. The Bible gives the comforting hope that your loved one will come to life again on a peaceful paradise earth when death will be no more in John 5:28, 29 and Acts 24:15.

We have known Donna & Chuck since they first started dating in the
1980’s. We were at their wedding and they were our attendants at
ours. Along with two other couples, we enjoyed many weekends away,
many hours of making home made wine and countless dinner parties.
We labelled ourselves “Second Chance Vintages” as all had been
married before.
We remember those years as the fun years with Chuck as the primary
ringleader – full of good ideas, such fun to be with and a very loyal,
caring friend. Even when we moved away from Toronto, the friendship
survived and, when possible, we would meet halfway for lunch and
reminisce about the fun we had as a group of eight.
There are now only 3 of us left and the “life of the party” is sadly
missing. But he has left us with wonderful memories of bygone days
and we are grateful that his many days of illness are over and he can
now be at peace. “Gone but not forgotten” is certainly the epitaph for
those he has left behind.
Our deepest sympathy to Donna and the family.

Donna and Family,
We are deeply saddened to hear of Chuck’s passing. We have been fortunate to have Chuck & Donna as our neighbors for the past 17 years. They have watched and guided us through becoming Century-Home owners, parents and helped navigate our illnesses and recent loss.
Chuck made us a part of his tribe. He spoiled us all. I wonder to this day if Donna knows what was in the grocery bags he filled for the kids for Halloween. It was ridiculous even for Chuck.
Ivan loved Chuck, he couldn’t wait to teasingly yell over the fence to Chuck to keep the noise down when he was entertaining on the back porch. If he saw him out watering his lawn, he would find a reason to join him for catch up.
Chuck took the time to teach the kids valuable lessons and responsibility. This past summer made sure he had as many little chats with them as he could to make sure they were okay after the loss of their father.
We will miss Chuck dearly, we will continue to be a tribe with Donna who has supported me and my children so much this past year.
Our hearts are broken with yours Donna.

Jim & Georgia Duggan
To the Davies family – We were very old past friends of Chuck. We send you, at this time, our deepest sympathy and condolences for your loss. Our names are Jim and Georgia Duggan and we now live in West Kelowna, B.C. When we knew Chuck he and Jim were both employed by Coca-Cola at their head office in Toronto on Overlea Blvd. This would be back in the early 1960’s. We lost touch with Chuck over the years but to this day remember him for his warm and gregarious personality. From reading the other condolences it appears Chuck lived a life worth living and made many friends along the way, two and four legged. He was loved, respected and well liked, None of us can ask for more than that out of life. Rest in peace Chuck. Sincerely, The Duggans

We just heard this news. Chuck was THE bright spot in the morning for many years as our boys crossing guard in the CE pathways neighbourhood. He knew them, knew us, knew their granny and we always felt so good knowing he was there. I loved chatting with him and catching up. He will be dearly missed. Our deepest condolences.
