Olive quietly slipped away in her sleep at Maple View Long-Term Care Residence in Owen Sound with family at her side. She was predeceased by her loving husband David Malcolm (January 18, 2005), sisters Mabel and Mary and brothers John and Earle. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Helen (John Harrison) and Margaret, grandsons Colin (Julie) and Will, her beautiful great-granddaughter Olivia and 7 nieces and nephews. Olive was born and raised on her family’s farm at Tullamore. She met Dave at Salem United Church, they married, raised a family in Oshawa and then spent many happy retirement years in their home outside Hanover. She will be laid to rest at Salem United Church Cemetery, Tullamore with her beloved Dave. They have come full circle. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Maple View for their exceptional care and kindness.
A memorial service will be held on Friday morning, August 10 at 11 o’clock at Salem United Church on Innis Lake Road.
Memorial donations to the Hanover and District Hospital or Salem Cemetery would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
