Peacefully passed, surrounded by his family, at Maple Grove Care Community, Brampton, on Friday, September 25, 2026, Oscar Hunt, in his 90th year, beloved husband of Marilyn. Loving father of Debbie, Kevin and Shannon, Brian and Joanne, and Dawna (deceased). Cherished grandfather of Brittney and Wendelle, Nicholas and Jessica, and Ethan; Justin, Nicole and Tyler, Matthew and Alex. Proud great-grandfather of Emmett; Travis, Max, Lincoln, Rowan, and Asher. Dear brother of Phyllis and Myron (both deceased), Lorna and Bill, Art and Carol (both deceased), George (deceased) and Betty, Mandy (deceased) and Bob, Wally and Sandy (both deceased). The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jane and Balwinder at Maple Grove Community for their care and compassion for Oscar.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen St. S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton on Thursday evening from 5 – 8 o’clock and on Friday, October 2 from 11 o’clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at one o’clock. Private family interment Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton. Reception following at the funeral home.

Oscar was my boss at a company called Duracon. He was the best boss ever. At some point he was not just a boss but had become a friend. I have always missed the smile and the good advice of different kinds that he gave me. My condolences to the family. He will be missed by many people that he has helped out in his life.
