All of those great times at the Ball Park and back to Harry and Joan’s place afterwards is what I remember most. The baseball was just part of it. The social time we spent together, primarily due to Harry’s efforts was what made it special.
The thoughs and prayers of Margaret and I are with the family.

To The Entire Davis Family;
Harry has been a part of my life for at least 37 years. I can remember a time when I was living on the corner of the 5th line and Walkers road and my dog Ralph would get off of his chain and run up to the farm. He would roll around in the manure pile and when Harry found him he would bring him in the house and call me. He would invite me over to his house and my lost dog was found. Ralph would smell so bad mom would make him run home beside the car. Ralph did this often I think he just wanted to visit with Joan and Harry.
When I attended high school Harry was my bus driver. What good times we had on the bus. If I was running late Harry would always wait for me.
I was really honored to have Joan and Harry attend my wedding.
For all these years I have visited with Harry when I could. My heart ached when Joan passed away and I wondered how Harry would survive but somehow he found the strength to carry on.
I wish I could be there for the funeral but British Columbia is a long way away.
Harry and Joan will always have a special place in my heart.

To the Davis family: In any person’s life, one is fortunate to meet and know few people of the caliber of Harry Davis.
We are deeply and truly saddened to hear of Harry’s passing, having read the notice in the May 20th edition of the Enterprise.
May 20th is our older daughter, Sandy’s birthday (now 29 years old!). When she was about 5 years old, she fancied to become a farmer when she grew up. We dressed her in blue coveralls and a straw hat and Gord drove her up to the Davis farm, where both Harry and Joan were very welcoming and even showed her the barn where she could see the chickens.
Later on, when driving her school bus (and Erin’s later), Harry always made a point of stopping in front of our house when there were multiple passengers loading together.
Of course, Gord knowing Harry goes back much longer than this.
What can you say about someone who said nothing, but merely chuckled while pulling a 17 year old’s car out of a wintery ditch(and more than once!).
On behalf of Gord and our family, please accept our sincere and deepest condolences. Gord, Carol, Sandy & Erin Pope
Jean Proctor & family
Our Proctor family will miss Harry with his good humour and wonderful smile. We spent time together when our children were young and it brings back memories when we look at the photos taken at that time.
We knew this day was coming but it is always sad when it does.
Our thoughts are with you.
