William Barry Shields, 82, of Caledon, Ontario passed away peacefully at Mountainview Residence, Georgetown, on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Born on April 29, 1943, in Brampton, Barry was a devoted son to the late William Giffen Shields and Addie Marie Shields. Cherished husband of Patricia Shields, loving father of Jim Noble and daughter-in-law Kelly, beloved brother to Joan Marie Shields, and proud Pappa to his grandchildren Alex, Cole, Jack and Grace. Barry will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends who loved and respected him deeply. Following the tradition of the Shields’ men, Barry led a life defined by hard work and dedication as a farmer. He was respected for his strong work ethic and keen financial sense. He was known for his integrity, kindness, and commitment to his family, friends, and community. Comfort is found in knowing that Barry’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever. We thank the staff at Georgetown Hospital and Mountainview Residence for their exceptional care.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Tuesday morning, October 14 from 10 o’clock until time of memorial service in the chapel at 11 o’clock, followed by a celebration of life reception.
