Sophia passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the age of 55 years. Devoted mother of Andreana, Christina, and Dimos, and fondly remembered by their father, Steve. Beloved daughter of Symeon and Christina Tharrenos and loving sister of George and Bill. Sophia’s memory will also be cherished by her partner, Frank, and his children, Raquel and Jacob. Sophia’s vibrant spirit touched many lives. She cherished her time spent boating on the lake, cooking delicious meals, and hosting lively gatherings. Her pool parties were legendary, and she had an infectious passion for cheering on the Blue Jays. Sophia found joy in playing Bingo and testing her luck at the casino slots. Her love for Coke Zero and a mean sangria will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Sophia leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

- Funeral Service: Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1 Brookhaven Drive, Toronto. Monday, December 4, 11:30 am.
- Burial Service: Glenview Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge.

I worked with Sophia about 10 years ago when my husband was working at the airport with US Customs . I will remember Sophia as loving and caring and she always shared pictures of her children. Family was EVERYTHING for her. Sophia’s smile ALWAYS brightened my day and she was there for me when I needed her most.
