Peacefully, in the warm embrace of her family at home, Sandra Fitzpatrick (Sandy) passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the age of 85. Sandra was the beloved wife of Tom Fitzpatrick. Cherished mother of Mark and Rosalie Fitzpatrick, Trischa and Ian Lowe, Matthew and Connie Fitzpatrick. Devoted, generous and loving grandmother of Braeden and Nicole Fitzpatrick, Saeran, Norah and Gavin Lowe, Michael and Emma Rose Fitzpatrick. Dear sister of Pamela Rigsby, Birdeena Cameron, and the late Paul Legg. Kind aunt to so many loved nieces and nephews.
Tom and Sandra married in 1966 and set out to build a life together that included children and a fledgling business. Sandra was a dedicated supporter of the business but found her true strength and passion in raising (and spoiling) her children and grandchildren. She loved to drive anywhere, for any distance and at any time. Her greatest love and priority was to spend time with family at the cottage or in Florida. Indeed, enabling the happiness of any of her immediate or extended family brought her great joy and fulfillment.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton on Saturday morning, November 16 from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 11:30 a.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

As I say goodbye to you today, Aunt Sandara, I find myself overwhelmed with memories of some of the happiest days of my life—days that you made so special.
Some of my earliest and fondest memories were at your apartment with my sister Pam. I remember sitting patiently, waiting for you to finish your office work so we could head to the pool or make one of our frequent trips to the store, where you always managed to spoil us with toys. I’ll never forget the excitement of you buying me my first newborn Thumbelina doll. And, of course, we had to keep those little shopping sprees a secret from Uncle Tommy!
When you moved to your home, summers became even more magical. Pam and I would spend weeks there when school was out. You let us sneak home a puppy we named Brutus while our parents were away. You made us feel like we could do anything. I’ll always remember how you let us stay up all night watching movies—introducing me to my first horror film—and just enjoying life together.
The holidays at your house were unforgettable. Christmases with the entire family gathered around were some of the most joyful times of my life. And your trips to Florida were filled with laughter, like the time Matthew was shooting seagulls from the hotel window with his BB gun.
You and I shared so much over the years—even our battles with dieting! Whether we were starting a new diet or sitting in Weight Watchers meetings, you always found a way to make it enjoyable.
When I got married, you were there for me again, hosting my rehearsal dinner with so much love and care. Later, spending time with you in Fort Myers became another special chapter. We visited one of your favorite places—the beach—and I’ll never forget how happy you were swimming in the Gulf, feeling so at peace in the water. We also spent time with Macayla Mae there, creating even more beautiful memories. Those days in Fort Myers will always hold a special place in my heart.
So today, as we say goodbye, I take comfort in imagining you swimming again—this time in paradise.
Aunt Sandara, you were more than an aunt—you were a guiding light in my life. Your kindness, generosity, and unwavering love left an imprint on my heart that will never fade. You will be missed more than words can ever express, but the memories we made together will live on forever.
I love you, Aunt Sandara. Rest Peacefully!
