My sincere condolences to the Seinen family and friends. I met Paul through our work relationship just a few years ago but I could tell by his nature that he was very special and a person of integrity. I just caught up with him a couple weeks ago after his annual tropical vacation and he was already looking forward to trying a new resort next year.

I still smile today when I think about how he addresses me as “young man” even though I’m well into my fifties.

25+ years ago, when I started working with my late father, Dutchie was one of the 1st customers that I encountered face to face & remember him being kind, respectful & (w/the benefit of hindsight) patient w/yours truly, which was (also w/the benefit of hindsight) truly appreciated. That’s stored in my grey matter to always treat those how you wish to be treated. My condoences to you & your family Adam.

I’ve known Paul [Dutchie] for over 30 years, and in that time, he became more than just a service provider—he was like a staff member to us. Paul left a lasting impression on everyone he spoke to, and he will be greatly missed in our facility.

His friendship meant a great deal to me and my colleagues at LTP Sports. He wasn’t just a professional; he was a mentor, a source of wisdom, and a truly kind and caring person. His absence will be deeply felt, both as a friend and as someone I looked up to.

Your smile I will not get to see again
But I shall smile every time I think of you
    Your laugh is silent now
But I shall never forget it
Your words of wisdom are all done
But I shall heed them all
Your very presence brightened the darkest of days
But I shall never forget the light that you were
I shall forever treasure the fact I had the honour, the privilege to know you for a moment let alone a decade
Your impact, you may not know was immense
I thank you for that privilege that honour
    You shall be greatly missed…..

    March 27, 2025 at 8:30 am

I was sorry to hear about the news of Dutchie’s sudden passing. His relationship with Leon’s extends well over 40 years. When Dutchie ventured out in his own as “The Lift Truck Doctor” he asked if Mr TomLeon would give him the opportunity to continue servicing our l equipment.

I got to know Dutchie much better in the early 1990’s when I became the buyer of lift trucks and had to review all maintenance records across our chain. Dutchie shared his insights, experience and recommendations over the years without hesitation. His counsel was instrumental in our decisions of what type of trucks to buy. He developed repair techniques that he shared with out of province mechanics who had suggested certain lift trucks could not be repaired and should be scrapped .
As much as Dutchie appreciated his decades old relationship with our company, Leon’s sincerely appreciated him and that relationship has continued with his son Adam.

    Please accept my sincerest condolences.
