Myrtle Letitia Reid (nee Craig)

Peacefully at Dufferin Oaks, Shelburne, on Sunday, August 22, 2010, Myrtle Reid, in her 89th year, beloved wife of the late Reginald (Reg) Reid (August 2000).  Born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan on March 25, 1922, Myrtle was the eldest child of Herbert Victor Craig (1966) and Clara Mary nee Roberts (1993).  Loving and much loved mother of Ron Meyers (Heather), Elizabeth (Meyers) Szmek (Karel 2007) and their families; Marguerite (Reid) Jorgenson and her husband Ken and predeceased by Craig Reid (November 1984).  Dear Grandma of six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Cherished sister of Dorothy Purnell, Harold Craig and predeceased by Clifford and her youngest sister Delrose.  Aunt ‘Myrt’ will always be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) Thursday, August 26 from 12 noon until 2 o’clock.  A private graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Orangeville. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, Orangeville Branch,14 Irvin Street, Suite One, Kitchener N2H 1K8; Headwaters Health Care Foundation, 100 Rolling Hills Drive, Orangeville L9W 4X9 or the charity of your choice.  Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com
