Peacefully at Avalon Care Centre, Orangeville, on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, Jean Rice, in her 90th year, beloved wife ot the late Jack Martin English (1997). Loving mother of Carolyn and her husband David Duke, Jack and his wife Janet, Donna and her husband Glenn Sterrett, Debbie and her husband Tom Kember. Cherished grandmother of Aaron and his wife Carrie, Jacob, Amanda, Ryan, Larissa, Veronica and great-grandmother of Olivia and Kian. Dear sister of Gwen and her husband Clair Hawn, Barb and her husband Gary Blauel. Also survived by her sisters-in-law Audrey Rice and Betty Rice. The family will receive their friends in the Orangeville Baptist Church (northeast corner of Hwy 10 and Hockley Sideroad), Orangeville, on Thursday morning, December 23 from 10 o’clock until time of funeral service at 11 o’clock. Private interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, Orangeville. If desired, memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 690 Riddell Road, Orangeville L9W 5G5.     We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Jean was such a lovely friendly lady. When we lived on Alexander St. we would often seeing her walking her dog, and go out to have a chat with her. We know you will deeply miss her.

    I remember your dear Mom at OBC many years ago as a sweet and kind lady. We know she has now started her everlasting journey with the Lord a little ahead of us. Harry and I send our sincerest condolences to you all.

    Caring thoughts and deepest sorrows are offered on behalf of Mom and myself, Tammy, Peter, Kyle and Shelby.
    I’ll always remember the big smile on Jean’s face during family gatherings … what a wonderful spirit.
    Be at ease knowing she is now in a more peaceful place and that the rest of your family is thinking about you at this time.

    Our prayers are with all of you. Aunt Jean was a special and caring lady. She has now started her journey to be with her family and friends that have gone ahead of her. Aunt Jean rest in peace.
