It is with a profound sense of loss and heavy hearts Moms four Girls wish to announce the passing of Louise Patterson, on Wednesday May 7th 2025 at Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston Ontario. Louise leaves a legacy of love, strength and compassion. A guiding light in the lives of all who knew her.
Born on November 8th 1941, in Collingwood, Ontario, the eldest daughter of Robert and Allison Patterson. Louise dedicated her life to caring for others, her family, her friends, coworkers, neighbours and more. If it mattered to you – it mattered to Mom. Known for her warm smile, nurturing nature and wise words, sprinkled with lots of laughter. Mom loved to learn, reading, sewing, knitting, some of her pastimes. Over the seasons of her life she worked in admin positions, volunteered with schools, and hosted celebrations of every kind. Her love for the road and the trips to visit family and friends filled her cup. Mom loved Canada. Best place to call home. She travelled to many of the special places across Canada. Closer to home Georgian Bay, Blue Mountain and Wasaga Beach warmed her soul.
Mom was a source of comfort and strength that included lots of fun! Louise was a second mother to many, a fierce protector and a best friend. Mom made a home that welcomed all with kindness, included homemade meals and unconditional love. She taught us many lessons in life including kindness, humility, no such thing as perfect and the value in caring for one another. She believed laughter was the best medicine, dancing in the kitchen made everything better and sharing your life with people you love was priceless.
Her four girls were her pride and joy. Her presence in our lives was a gift. She was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Mom drew from an endless source of love for all her grandbabies and later great grand babies. They filled her with such joy. She made sure to be apart of their lives as much as she could. Leaving fond memories with Jon, Laura, Matthew (Mandy) and Alison Mullings. Olivia (Mark) Hofland, Reiley, Jared, Noel and Nadine (predeceased) Simpson. Avery (Robbie) Notenboom. Jason, Brooklyn and Paige Sura. Grandbabies Lumen Mullings, Garrett and Billie Notenboom and Emmett Mullings.
She is predeceased by brothers Robert (Pat) Patterson, Allan (Millie) Patterson, Rae Patterson, and sisters Barb (Don (deceased)) Lewko and Karen Patterson. Remembered by brothers Ian (Irene) Patterson, Kevin (Dawn) Patterson and Steve (Joanne) Patterson.
Louise will forever be lovingly remembered by her daughters and sons-in-laws, Tanya and Glen Mullings, Heidi and Paul Simpson, Kyla and Farley Donsky and Ronda and Mark Sura, her extended family, and dear friends. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
Our profound gratitude and love we share with those who cared for Mom at Simcoe Manor in Beeton. To all the staff, doctors, most especially the nurses and psw’s who cared with love for our Mom and by virtue her four girls. We thank you from the bottom of our heart. Honouring Mom’s wishes, there will be no service. The family invites you to consider a donation in her memory to your favourite charity.

My heart broke of hearing of Aunt Louise. I am fortunate to have had so many great memories that spanned my childhood and adulthood.
My aunt for me will always be big hats, diva sunglasses, high heels polished nails and driving with the sunroof open and her love of music and dancing even when she drove♥️.
My cousins I love you and send thoughts and grace for yourselves now and in the coming weeks .
I hope her and mom laugh together now as they always did when they were with us.♥️
Love Sonia, Abbie. &Kara

Heidi, Tanya, Kyla , Ronda and families, what a beautiful tribute for an amazing woman. She was a strong and loving mom who loved her girls more than anything. It was an honour to know her. We loved watching hockey games with her and we loved watching her dance with her grandchildren. The twinkle in her eye and sense of humour made her so fun to be around. Her legacy will be forever felt in the future generations to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
