Suddenly at South Muskoka Regional Hospital, Bracebridge, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, Kieron Bayley, at the age of 68 years, beloved husband of Diana for 43 years. Loving father of Chris and Justine, David and Leslie, Nicole and Matt, Miranda and Ray. Proud grandfather of Bayleigh, Bronwyn, Isla, Avery, Hudson, Emma, Mackenzie, Camille, Tessa, and Amelia. Cherished son of Kathleen and the late Vernon Bayley. Dear brother of Maire (Michael), Sean (John deceased), Terrance (deceased), John (Mary deceased), and Mike (Lisa). Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews Molly (David), Jacqueline (Cam), Peggy (David), Shane (Maggie), Luke (Amanda), Nora (Kamil), Alex (Jackie), Jessica (Ivan), Kiera, and Zack (Natalia), and many great nieces and nephews.
Kieron was a man of deep faith, whose life was guided by the values of the Catholic Church. He placed his trust in God and carried that quiet strength into all areas of his life. A proud member of the Ellis-Don community, Kieron contributed meaningfully in his role as a project manager, building not only projects but also lasting relationships. His heart, however, belonged to Pointe au Baril on Georgian Bay — a place where he found true joy and peace. The family cottage was his sanctuary, and the memories made there with loved ones were among his most cherished. Whether he was casting a fishing line, towing kids on a tube behind the boat, or watching the sun dip below the horizon, Kieron was most at home surrounded by family, laughter, and the beauty of the water. He will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his dedication to work, and above all, his deep love for his family.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen St. S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Tuesday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 6 – 8 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 60 Allan Drive, Bolton on Wednesday, June 25 at one o’clock. Followed by cremation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Covenant House, Toronto Western Comprehensive Pain Clinic through UHN Foundation, or Pointe au Baril Nursing Station through West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

Dear Diana,
My heart goes out to you and your family. It was only last year near this time that you and Kieron came to me with open arms and hugs during my loss. Life can be so difficult losing our spouses of many years and we only understand why when we ourselves pass through that same gate. Please accept my sincerest sympathy Diana and may we cross paths soon.

I shared a summer in 1974 with Kieron. A lad over from ireland, with little experience of the wider world. It was a formidable summer for me as you can imagine and Kieron was a large part of that, I often think of him since, even though its been 50 years. Peace be with you Kieron.

We are so sad that Kieron has passed away, after many years of fighting his illnesses. We first met Kieron and Diana in 1987 through Maire, Kathleen and Vernon. Maire and I had become firm friends whilst living in the West Indies and Tim and I were welcomed warmly into the Bayley family. We shared many occasions together and were in awe of their strong commitment to each other and the Church. In later years we spent memorable times at Pointe au Baril with Kieron and Diana. Fishing, tubing and attending the regatta at Ojibway. Happy Days for us all. God rest your wonderful soul Kieron and we think of your beautiful family with love

“ Even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget
falls drop by drop upon the heart
Until, in our own despair, against our will,
comes wisdom through the awful grace of God.”
Kieron knew the seasons of suffering that teach us so much about life, and about our Heavenly Father.
To Diana and all the family, Chris, David, Nicole, and Miranda and your spouses,
Maire , Michael and family
To dearest Kathleen, Kieron’s devoted mother…
Our deepest deepest sympathy

Diana and family. We are so saddened to hear of Kieron’s sudden passing. Even though we have sort of lost touch with you since your move to Bolton, I (Reid) have often thought of you with memories spanning many years.
Peter Renaud and I did survey work for Ellis Don at the airport from 1995 to 1998 where Kieron was Construction Manager. He was always a pleasure to work with as his ethics on the job and safety requirements enabled us to provide him with quality results. He was a good boss and we always chatted about our lives in Pointe-Au-Baril at breaks in the day. He introduced us to Kathleen and Vernon who we would chat with on a regular basis when we kept our boat at Mike Payne’s house next door. And of course we would see Nicole and Miranda on a regular basis at Payne Marine.
I remember we stopped in at the house on South Shore Road quite often after he retired from Ellis Don. Kieron would always show me the improvements he was working on and describe to me how his pain management was working. (Or not – he suffered for such a long time after the accident!) We were always glad to see one another. As time went on though, we would see less of Kieron and more of Diana especially chatting over the counter at Kennedy’s store until your move to Bolton.
We cherish these memories of Kieron and all our interactions with the family. We know he will be greatly missed.
Gail Payne
