Passed away peacefully, with his daughter holding his hand and Dean Martin playing on the radio at Hillsdale Estates, with enough time to ring in the new year up in heaven with his sweetheart, Bruna. Survived by his devoted daughter Erika, beloved son-in-law Jeff, best-bud and grandson Braeden, siblings Mary and Harold, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A successful Realtor in Peel Region he, alongside his wife Bruna, were the dynamic duo that helped shape the Caledon and Bolton area over their 40-year career. He was dedicated to his family and gave his fullest, goofiest and most generous self to those in his life. To have known him was to also receive some of the best advice, support and encouragement. He just loved to hear how people were doing and immersed himself in others’ stories. His enthusiasm and joy for life will be felt when watching the planes fly overhead, taking a drive in the countryside, hearing AC/DC and eating a plate of homemade lasagna. He is undoubtedly taking a joy ride with his wife in a Corvette and all set to barbecue a steak dinner. We will enjoy his signature drink, an ‘Iceberg’ (red wine, sliced peaches and two ice cubes), in his honour, but not before 4 o’clock tea-time of a Coors Light shared with your sweetie.

I must say that John was the most conscientious and honest realtor I have ever met. If he was selling a property he would come into the Town of Caledon and get the zoning information of the property and make sure he sure knew exactly what the proposed buyer could legally do on the property. I recommended John to many people who were thinking of buying or selling in Caledon because there would be no surprises. We used to keep in touch by phone until he moved to Oshawa and I missed having conversations with him. Rest in Peace, John. Sincerest condolences to Bruna and his family. He will be missed.

I taught John in grade 8. We maintained a friendship for many years. I remember him taking me to tour his father’s meat cutting plant when he was going to Holy Family. Later he helped the family with real estate matters. A good man.
