John Christopher Steele

            His family announces with great sorrow the passing of John of Caledon after a short battle with cancer at Brampton Civic Hospital, beloved husband and best friend of Cathy (nee Knowles) for 34 years.  Loving father of Johnny, Meaghan and Michael.   Papa of Liam Hall-Steele who was the light of his life.  Dear son of the late Gerry and Cathy Steele of Scotland.  Loving brother of Maureen and Brian Catterson of Scotland, Margaret Rose (deceased) of Scotland, Gerry and Linda Steele of Bolton, David and Myriam Steele of Rosemont.  Dear son-in-law of the late Sid and Marjory Knowles of Mississauga.  Cherished brother-in-law of Marjory and Bill Coffey of Bolton.  He was loved and will be missed by his nieces and nephews Jamie, Rosalyn and Jenny of Bolton, Asta Coffey of Bolton, Veronica and her husband Dave and their children Jenna and Kyle of Sarnia; Laura and her husband Neil, Nicola and their mom Rose.  Will be missed by his loyal and forever friends Erle and Anne Brokelman, Bruce and Cheryl Robertson, Mary and Kirk Giolsalitis, Hugh and Manuela Ross and their families.  Sadly missed by his friends at TSSA who were there for him not just as workmates, but as a caring group of people.  Thanks to Dr. Kacer for his care and kindness and Eric and Shannon at Gunter’s Apothecary, Caledon East.  The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home,2 30 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Sunday afternoon 2-4 and evening 7-9 o’clock.  Funeral Mass will be held in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 16066 The Gore Road, Caledon East on Monday morning, January 25 at 11 o’clock (leaving funeral home at 10:30 a.m.).  Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton.  Flowers or contributions to your favourite charity are welcomed.  Condolences for the family may be offered at www.eganfuneralhome.com
