Peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, with her loving family by her side on Monday January 20, 2025, in her 88th year.
Beloved wife of the late A.Ross Wilson. Dear mother of Graham Wilson (Anne-Marie), Reid Wilson, Susan Berrezueta, and Heather Elliott (Scott). Adored grandmother of Zackery, Tyler, Clark, Abigail Elliott, Joshua, Jordan, Bethany Berrezueta, Mark and Caitlin Vandenbroek. Predeceased by her favourite sister Norma Fryett.
A devoted mother, strong in her Christian faith, and a teacher of love and kindness, she showed us what it means to live with purpose. Her unwavering faith guided everything she did, from her nurturing care for her family to the love she gave to others. She taught us to trust in God’s plan and to live with compassion, patience, and grace.
Her love for nature reflected her reverence for God’s creation, and her joyful spirit filled our lives with laughter and light. Whether through quiet walks in the woods or moments of fun and laughter, she made every moment special. Though we will miss her deeply, her legacy of faith, love, and joy continues to guide us. Her example of devotion, strength, and fun will live on in our hearts forever.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Saturday, January 25 from 2 o’clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at 3 o’clock. Spring interment St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Tottenham.

Family of dear Joan Wilson, we are so sorry for your loss. We sorrow not as others who have no hope, because we know Joan is happy in heaven with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I have visited with Joan and her fellow residents of the Davis Centre every month for many years. Joan’s desire is that her whole family trust Christ as their Lord and Saviour so they can experience forgiveness of sins and be with her in heaven forever!

I met Joan at the Davis Centre about 10 years ago. She was already suffering from Alzheimer’s so I never knew the real Joan. She seemed like a gentle soul. Ross, whom I got to know quite well, was a devoted husband and was a regular at the Davis Centre. Sad to say there were only a few of us family members who regularly visited our loved one and we bonded over our mutual desire to support them. The way Ross talked about Joan and cared for her I knew she was a special person. I was there visiting my mom Doris who suffered from dementia. I got to know the family, son Reid, daughter Susan, son Graham and daughter Heather. They were all devoted to their mom and it showed. They will miss her very much. They lost their dad, Ross, a little over a year ago. God Bless the Wilson family.

We were sorry to hear that your dear mum has left her earthly home and appreciate this a sad parting for you as her family..BUT we rejoice that she is now at her permanent Home with her Saviour who she loved and trusted. We know that those of us who also love the Lord Jesus will join her there one day soon so the parting is but for a little while. Much love to you all. Sending love and our deepest sympathies at this sad time of loss.
Losing a parent is never easy no matter what age. Losing both your parents within a year’s time must be even harder.
Thinking of all of you at this time. Hoping that the memories of your Mom and the love she had for all of you will ease your heartache.
Much Love, Evan and Jane Ewasko
