September 10, 1929 – June 2, 2014
After 84 years, seven children and nine grandchildren, Jean MacFarlane Ellis passed away peacefully in her family home in Kleinburg, Ontario on June 2, 2014. It took eight decades to become a canon of grace, strength, wisdom and compassion.
This is what we will celebrate at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church (10150 Pine Valley Drive, WoodbridgeL4L 1A6) on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a service at 11 a.m., and then friends are invited to the Ellis residence in Kleinburg.
Jean is survived by an incalculable number of people who had good fortune to call her mother, friend, confidante and inspiration. Her children Ted, David (Stephanie), Clyde (Barbara), Janet (Bruce), Scott (Faye), Jennifer and John (Anne). She will be missed by her encore of grandchildren Jamie, Sommer, Jessica, Jordan, Joshua, Spencer, Nicole, Harrison and Kathryn.
In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to the Arthritis Society.

Dear John (and family)
My sincere condolences. Of course I could never forget your Mom’s Birthday as we shared the same day. So frequently it fell on Bindertwine so there were often opportunities to wish your mother a very happy birthday. A real fixture in Kleinburg I am sure she will be greatly missed but I have no doubt you have many happy memories and she made a great impact on all the lives she touched.
With sympathy,
Tim (Hughes)

To the entire Ellis Family we send our deepest sympathy in the loss of your Mother. A long time resident of Kleinburg that was admired and loved my many will be missed by many. She was always engaging and interesed to hear news about our family and happy to share news of her own family. May she rest in peace knowing that she did a great job in raising such a wonderful family.
Take good care of each other at this very difficult time.
