Antonio Festa (commonly known as Tony) passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024 at the age of 91. He was born on September 20, 1932, in Matera, Italy. Antonio is survived by his beloved wife Filomena of 67 wonderful years. Cherished father of Frank (Lisa) and Mary Di Feo (Jerry). Proud nonno of Giancarlo (Sabrina), Katrina, Natalie (Adrian), Anthony (Elizabeth), Daniel (Olivia), and Milena (Rabi) and bisnonno of Zara and Scarlet.
Antonio is also survived by 4 of his 11 siblings, all of whom reside in Italy. He was the only member of his large family to move from Italy so over the years he made numerous trips back to Matera to visit them. Antonio is lovingly remembered by his brothers- and sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends both in Canada and Italy.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Monday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 6 – 8 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 11873 The Gore Road, Brampton on Tuesday morning, May 7 at 10 o’clock.
Entombment Glendale Memorial Gardens, 1810 Albion Road, Etobicoke.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
