It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Ivanka Spasov on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the age of 75, in Bolton, Ontario. Ivanka was born and raised in Durdenovac, Croatia. She was the dear daughter of the late Mijo and Katarina. She was predeceased by her beloved son Sabu and her loyal husband, Alex. Ivanka is lovingly remembered by her son, Danny (Viviana); and her daughters, Sandy (Brad) and Suzie (Jon). She was a proud and devoted Nana/Nonna to Chloe, Aidan, Paige, Daniel, Gabriella, and Nikola, and a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She was a devoted and cherished sister to Branka (Branko and family); and adored by the in-laws of her children Arturo, Anna and family, Linda and family, and Sara and family.
Ivanka was kind and generous to everyone she met. A compassionate and principled woman, she was a constant source of strength and support, always bringing out the best in others, with the most infectious laugh. As a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, cousin and friend, she offered unwavering encouragement, guidance, and unconditional love. She will be remembered for her strength of character, her selflessness, and her deep dedication to her family and friends. Ivanka was truly an extraordinary woman who was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
Visitation will be held at Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street South (Hwy 50), Bolton (905 857-2213), on Monday, May 4, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Funeral Ceremony will be held at Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street South (Hwy 50), Bolton (905 857-2213) in the chapel, on Tuesday, May 5 at 11:00 am, followed by the burial at Beechwood Cemetery, 7241 Jane Street, Vaughan.

My deepest condolences to each of Ivanka’s family and friends. I was honored to know her as a friend of Suzie’s. At one of my visits/sleepovers many years ago, I learned her way of washing grapes and to this day I still think of Ivanka with so much love everytime I wash grapes. Something so simple and yet it makes life so rich to share moments and connections like this. Ivanka was a great cook, a compassionate woman and is a very sweet soul.
