It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of Giuseppe Remigio, at the age of 80. God called him home peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2025, with his family by his side. He will forever be missed by Carmelina, his loving wife of 52 years; by his children Roberto and Lilliana, Antonella and Marcello Repole. Cherished Nonno of his grandchildren Isabella, Daniel, Lucas, Erica, Amanda, and Joseph who were his pride and joy. He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved parents Umberto and Filomena and his sisters Cristina, Elena, Antonietta, and all his in-laws. He will be held dear in the hearts of Mike and Gilda D’Uva, Achille and Antonietta D’Uva, Pierino D’Orazio and fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada and in Italy. Giuseppe exemplified honour and integrity both in his personal life and in his long tenured career in woodworking. He was a pillar of strength who lived for his family and was a gentleman to all who knew him. A special thank you to Hospice Vaughan, especially Dr. V. Maida and the nursing staff for their dedication and compassionate care.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen St. S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Sunday, April 27 from 2 – 6 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Padre Pio Roman Catholic Church, 5500 Major Mackenzie Drive West, Kleinburg on Monday morning, April 28 at 10 o’clock. Private family entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 7300 Hwy. 27, Woodbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Vaughan (hospicevaughan.com) or The Wharton Head and Neck Clinic at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (uhn.ca/PrincessMargaret/Clinics/Head_Neck).
