Peacefully at Sunnyside Home Long Term Care, Kitchener, on Sunday, January 29, 2023, George Gay, at the age of 90 years, beloved husband of the late Jacqueline Clayton and Doreen Matthews. Loving father of Sharon and her husband Michael Murray, Susan and her husband Peter Lade, Paul Gay and his wife Marisa Mancuso, and David Gay. Cherished grandfather of Christopher (Jessica), Sarah, Erika (Tim), Thomas (Brooke), Douglas (Carling), James (Erin), and Kevin. Proud great-grandfather of Andrew, Lucius, Zander and Seamus. Dear brother of Harry and Betty (both deceased), James and Marie, Michael (deceased) and Wendy, Frank and Diane.
The family would like to thank the care team at Sunnyside Home and staff at Chartwell Elmira for their wonderful care and compassion for George.
A very special thank you to Mayongbe for her tender hearted care over the last two years.
Honouring George’s wishes, cremation will take place. Private family service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213).
