Donna, I was shocked and sorry to read of Fred’s death today. I remember him with fondness as a genuinely nice man. We always found an opportunity to see the humour in Company events, he and I. (You”ll know what I mean, I’m sure.)

Please accept my sincere condolences. Best wishes.

Donna and family, Our thoughts and prayers go out to you at this sad time. We always thoroughly enjoyed being in Fred’s company. He had such a wonderful sense of humour and in his own quiet way could be the “life of the party” We will miss him alot. To think we were 3 weeks away from seeing him ( and of course you ) again. We will pray that you will find peace and comfort in the days ahead. As lovers of “doxies” we also think of Ben who will miss Fred too..

Donna, we were so shocked and saddened to hear of Fred’s sudden death and send our deepest sympathy to you and Jason and your family. Since hearing the sad news we have been recalling many happy memories of Fred. As long time friends(all those walks with our boys to nursery school!), we remember when Fred first came into your lives. It was wonderful to see how much his kind, supportive ways brought both you and Jason so much happiness.
As we got to know Fred, we came to appreciate his keen sense of humour and sharp mind. He was very much the renaissance man with not only incredible knowledge of the IT world in which he worked, but was also very informed about history, science etc. We always looked forward to talking with Fred as the conversation was never dull!
Over the years we were often struck by Fred’s many talents and versatility. Although he was a big guy, his skill with his hands was amazing! He could produce such intricate, delicate work. We were especially impressed by the beautiful doll houses that he built for his nieces. We will always remember Fred’s ability to make the best of things. We really admired how when poor health limited his outside activities, he became a homemaker in the true sense taking pride in learning to prepare interesting recipes and maintaining the house.
We will so miss Fred in our lives and can only hope that happy memories will comfort you in your loss.

    Donna and Jason,

We are thinking of you both and your family during this difficult time. We will remember Fred as such a genuine and thoughtful man.
The fondest memories of high school include summer in Bala, and many days/evenings playing music in your basement. I will also remember Fred as one of the best chef/BBQ’er ever!!

Just know that our thoughts and prayers are with you, we are here if you need us.

    Dear Donna
A belated message because I only found the site today
Caroline and I only met and enjoyed the company of Fred during our visit to Ontario in 1999 we shared a meal together at Toronto Tower with my cousin Pat & Joe, Fred and your self stayed with you before visiting your parents, we shared a joke which we still refer to all these years later.
Our lasting impression, what a nice close family Fred had entered into. I described Fred to my brother Wallace, built like a lumberjack but as gentle as could be. He was so proud to find he was a member of the Wallace Clan through his Gt Grandmother.

Donna Remember the good times you shared with the great guy.
    Lots of Love
    Malcolm & Caroline
