It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doug Bailey, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He left us peacefully on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 at the age of 80. Douglas was the cherished husband of Carol, her partner in life for nearly 55 years. The loving father of Pamela (Stephen), Laurie (Robert) and Matthew (Michelle); and the loving grandfather of Liam, Maiya, Masumi, Nathan, Hana and Chloe. Beloved son of the late Florence and Urias. Dear brother of Bonnie (Henry), Robert (Tina) and the late Sandra. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
He lived a life full of kindness, love, and dedication to his family, and left a mark on the hearts of all who knew him. Whether it was sharing his most delicious fruits and vegetables that he passionately grew in his garden, engaging in conversation about his many interests including computers & technology, health & nutrition, plants & gardening, or simply just being in his calm presence, he made the world a kinder, gentler, and better place. Doug will be deeply missed and will always remain in our hearts.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 8th, at 11 am with a lunch reception following, at St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Parish, located at 116 Church Street, Schomberg.
Parking is available across the street from St Mary Magdalene’s church (St Patrick Catholic church parking lot, no permit required).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the church of St. Mary Magdalene, Schomberg would be appreciated by the family. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com
