Donna Jean McAllister (nee Snider)

February 1, 2025 By Egan Funeral Home 36 Condolences

McAllister Web

How do we say good-bye when good-bye has come too soon.

Our loving mother, Donna Jean McAllister, unexpectedly left us on Thursday, January 30th, 2025.  You were the most loving, kind, caring Mom to Shaun (Lissa), Christa (Rob), and Scott (Nicole).  Your grandchildren Lauren (Curtis), Brooklyn, and Taylor always found comfort in your arms and strength from your love.  Colt and Layla, so young still, will be reminded of the love their Nana held for them and all the happy times shared together.  Predeceased by her husband Gordon and her older brother Nelson (Ria).  Will be greatly missed by her older sister Margaret (late Thomas) and our extended family and many friends.

Mom, we will never understand why you were taken from us.

We will always feel your love.

The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Tuesday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 6 – 8 o’clock.

Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday morning, February 5th at 11 o’clock followed by a reception at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to The Hospital for Sick Children (www.sickkids.ca/) would be appreciated.

Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

More than 30 years of having the best neighbour and friend in Donna. We will miss seeing her, always a smile and a wave at the very least. Many front porch and end of driveway conversations. She was always quick to share updates on her family. So proud of all of them. Just knowing Donna was there gave so much comfort to our whole family. Our heartfelt sympathy to the whole family. She will forever be an angel watching over you all.
Thank you Donna for being such a wonderful friend. We will miss you dearly on Valleyview! Rest in peace!

    Dear Shaun and Family,

Sending my deepest condolences. Donna was an amazing person. One of the first to welcome me so kindly into the business when I started my internship at Quebecor Richmond Hill. Lucky for me we would end up working together again as our paths crossed again many years (okay maybe decades) later. She was such a kind and compassionate person with a tremendous sense of humour. She will be truly missed by all that were blessed enough to know her.

    Sincerely,
    EM

To the entire McAllister Family: I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Donna was such a special person. It was always so nice t meet up with her at the Wellness Centre or at Timmy’s. I met your Mom years ago at the Bolton Post Office. It was always so nice to meet up with her at the arena in Caledon East to watch the girls hockey games. I didn’t see much of her in the past couple of years since I moved but cherished the times I did meet up with her. My deepest and sincere condolences to all.
