It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Wilbert (Bill) Darius Warren on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the age of 92. Loving father of Terry and his wife Pauline, Jo-Anne and her husband Alan O’Donnell. Proud grandfather of Samantha (David), Bailey, Cole (Celia), Spencer, Michael (Emma) and Madison. Cherished Great Grandfather of Benjamin and Oliver.
Born in Herring Neck (Ship Island), Newfoundland in 1933, Bill later settled in Ontario, where he made his home from 1949 onward.
He is predeceased by his parents, Ford and Emma Mae Warren, and by his brother, Rex Warren.
Bill is lovingly remembered by his siblings: Marie (late Kenny Dolmont) Dove, Jean (late Ted) McGuire, and Tom & Lynda Warren.
Bill was a member for over 70 years with Local 721, his career started in 1955 as an Ironworker with Disher Steel (Canron). During this period, Bill competed as a Bodybuilder winning the titles of Mr. Toronto, Mr. Ontario and ultimately the IFBB title of Mr. Canada in 1971.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
