I was shocked and saddened to hear from Scott that Audrey had passed away suddenly. Audrey was the first person I met on my first day (along with Catherine) at SEW-EURODRIVE, nearly 25 years ago! Throughout the years she was always there giving advice about the company and was always there to deal with a PITA customer who complained about Terms…she was happy to deal with customers directly and they appreciated that.
Audrey was in a leadership role at SEW for many years. This says a lot about Audrey considering she took that role many years ago when it was not the norm for women to be in such positions. She was a trailblazer at SEW.
After Audrey’s retirement, SEW was lucky enough to have her continue on as a member of the board of directors so I was able to see her for an extended period of time every few months, on top of the regular visits to the office to sign cheques. I can hear in my head her keeping our meetings in check with “Guys, lets get back on topic”…
I will find it hard to believe that the small and svelte lady that Audrey was will no longer be walking the halls of SEW. For that I will be eternally sad.
Scott and Chris, my deepest thoughts are with the both of you during this difficult time. Do not dwell on the anguish that is today but rather on the great memories of the past. This is how your mom will always be with you.
RIP Audrey. I will miss you!

To Audrey’s Family and close friends, please accept my deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences for your loss. Audrey was a trusted colleague during my years at SEW-Eurodrive. Her thoughtful attention to detail, professionalism, and grace were just a few of her many positive attributes. Even after my departure from the company, Audrey was a sincere confidant who always took the time to listen and help put life’s challenges into perspective with her caring advice and fabulous sense of humor! God bless you and peace be with you and the family.
