Alice Hyland, 89, Loving Mother and Cherished Friend
Alice Hyland passed away peacefully on 18 November 2024 surrounded by her children. Born on 7 December 1934 in Cherhill, Alberta, Alice lived a full and vibrant life marked by her unwavering love for her family, her remarkable kindness, and her enduring strength.
She is survived by her children, Gregory Hyland, and Jillian Bishop (Timothy). She was predeceased by daughter Caron Shepley (Barrie) and husband, Harold. Her grandchildren, Harrison and Sarah Hyland were her greatest love, who will forever treasure the warmth of her smile, the comfort of her presence, and the many memories they shared. Also, there were many others that considered her another Mom and truest friend and family.
Alice became an X-Ray technician early in life, then turned to selling real estate after having children. Known for not wanting to give in to time, she died still selling real estate, as it kept her vibrant. Her work kept her connected to people who were not just co-workers and clients, but dearest friends. Her legacy will live on through the lives she touched and the lessons she imparted.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 2-4 pm at the Trisan multipurpose room, 25 Dillane Drive, Schomberg, Ontario. Please stop in and share your memories of Alice.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the cancer organization of your choice.

My heart is saddened. I always enjoyed having a cup of tea and catching up with your mom whenever she was in town. Her warmth, big smile and sense of humor present throughout our conversations, always had me walking away thinking ‘I want to be a sassy older woman just like Alice one day!’ I hope you find peace in the wonderful memories you shared with your mom (and grandma). She was a light that burned very bright.

My sympathies are with all the family during this difficult time. Alice was a friend and mentor. As we combined efforts on many real estate listings and purchases, I sponged up her tremendous knowledge and ability to connect with people. She was very serious about her approach to real estate but her situational humour taught me to look at the brighter side of the business ..and made for many a laugh! Oh, that infectious and wonderful laugh. You will sincerely be missed.

My condolences to Alice’s family. Her memory will live on in the many people she helped to either buy a home or sell one. She was a total professional who mentored many others in the business of real estate.
It was an honor to work on deals with her over the years. She will be missed.
