Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, July 17, 2010, Alice Fox, at the age of 83 years, beloved wife of the late George Robert (Bob) Grandison, who passed away 6 months ago. Will be greatly missed and always remembered by her daughter Vicki and her husband Ben, sons Jim and Steve, her grandson Brian, who had a special place in her heart, and her great-grandson Tyler. Predeceased by her eldest son George. Grandmother of Calvin, Danny and great grandmother of Sierra, all of Grand Prairie Alberta. Predeceased by her brother Hamilton (Sonny) and sister Helen. She will be sadly missed by her brother Joe, sister in-law Ellen and brother-in law Bob, as well as many nieces and nephews in Toronto, Winnipeg and England. Alice was born in Alloa, Scotland. She met Bob at the Locarno Dance Hall in Glasgow when she was 16 years old. He was on leave from the Canadian Navy at the time. It was love at first sight for both. Alice came to Canada at the age of 19 and married her Canadian sweetheart. They enjoyed a happy loving marriage for 63 years. The family would like to thank the staff at Leisureworld Care Centre Vaughan, for the wonderful care they gave to our mother in her final months. The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Wednesday, July 21 from one o’clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at 2 o’clock. Interment Caledon East Public Cemetery.
