Peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville, on Friday, February 18, 2011, Shirley Illes, in her 77th year, beloved wife of Bela Bognar. Loving mother of Bela and his partner Dawn, Tom and his wife Cheryl. Cherished grandmother of Connor and Krista. Predeceased by her sister Zsuzsanna Aradi and brother Gyorgy Illes.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) on Wednesday, February 23 from 12:30 until time of funeral service in the chapel at 2 o’clock. Followed by cremation. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Headwaters Health Care Foundation, 100 Rolling Hills Drive, Orangeville L9W 4X9. You all have been through so much. I will be thinking about both of you as well as the kids.
I remember Shirley bringing her cabbage rolls (my favorite!) and some kind of traditional crescent rolls the night before your wedding. She was a great cook, as I recall.
