Peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville, on Friday, February 18, 2011, Shirley Illes, in her 77th year, beloved wife of Bela Bognar. Loving mother of Bela and his partner Dawn, Tom and his wife Cheryl. Cherished grandmother of Connor and Krista. Predeceased by her sister Zsuzsanna Aradi and brother Gyorgy Illes.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) on Wednesday, February 23 from 12:30 until time of funeral service in the chapel at 2 o’clock. Followed by cremation. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Headwaters Health Care Foundation, 100 Rolling Hills Drive, Orangeville L9W 4X9. So sorry to hear of loss of your mother, Tom and Cher. This is too much for one to bear. These grandmothers were so precious to the grandchildren and to all. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Shirley and Jack Webers and family.
Tom: So sorry to hear of your Mom’s death. It’s especially difficault after what you have just been through. We had a similiar experience when Elizabeth’s Dad passed away just a week after Mom. Please know that we are thinking of you, Cheryl and the kids.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Saci. My son Donald has often mentioned about the time, when we lived across the street in Brampton, she would bring him chicken papricash (?) and pepto bismal if he was not feeling well. Donald also sends his sympathies to Tom and Bill Jr.

Tom & Cher,
You all have been through so much. I will be thinking about both of you as well as the kids.
I remember Shirley bringing her cabbage rolls (my favorite!) and some kind of traditional crescent rolls the night before your wedding. She was a great cook, as I recall.
You will have many good memories in time.
