Sharon walked this world with the kind of lightness of spirit and kindness of heart that inspires others to live their lives more bravely and fully, with compassion and laughter and caring. And that was before this last long, hard year in which she showed all of us her true strength and courage. She lives still in the hearts and memories of all of us who were blessed to know her.

Over the past year, it has been easy to see that Sharon’s amazing character had its foundations in her wonderful family. You all have my utmost respect for the remarkable, unfailing support and care you provided for her. Words cannot adequately express the extent of the heartbreak I feel on your behalf. Parents should never have to lose a child, no matter the child’s age. She was too young. It’s not fair. Let yourselves grieve however you need to; no one can be strong all the time. Then, slowly, with the passage of time, healing and comfort will come and memories will bring more laughter than tears. My thoughts are with you all.

Rest in peace, beautiful Sharon! I will give Grayson love and treats for you every time I see your special fella!

In Sharon, we came to know and respect a remarkable young woman and her family. She gave freely of her loving and generous nature to all those fortunate enough to have known her. We are grateful that we were the recipients of her kindness and thoughtfulness on many occasions. As with all those many privileged individuals who she knew, she made us feel special. For us, that is the gift for which we will always be grateful. We share our profound grief with all of you.

Words are not enough to express the sadness I have felt ever since our Sharon left us. I can only imagine what this enormous loss represents for her family. She is and will be in my heart forever. Her laughter, her ever positive take on life, her team spirit, her compassion and last but not least her unique brand of humour will be sorely missed on every program she has ever worked on. My thoughts and prayers are with her parents whom I had the privilege of meeting shortly before Sharon’s passing. I feel honoured to have shared these precious moments with you and Sharon. Our dear girl is watching over all of us now. Much love JR XXX

My sincere condolences. I worked with Sharon catering and she was always the most caring and attentive, sweet and loveable person to work with. And I don’t say that lightly. She really was. That smile and her laugh were infectious, but her work ethic was just as striking. She taught me a lot about generosity and kindness. I only just heard about her passing. I will not forget her. She was a bright star in the sky and she will be missed.
