Peacefully, at Dufferin Oaks Home for Senior Citizens, Shelburne, on Friday, March 1, 2013, Pat Thompson (née Patterson) in her 94th year, beloved wife of the late Perry Thompson. Loving mother of Alex and his wife Margaret, Edward and his wife Coral. Cherished grandmother of Joel, and Julie and her husband Aldo. Fondly remembered by her great-granddaughters Grace and Anna Lisa. Dear sister of Bob (deceased) and Marion Baughman, and Dorothy Thomas.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) on Friday, March 8 from one o’clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at 2 o’clock. Spring interment Alton Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Dufferin, 1 – 25 Centennial Road, Orangeville L9W 1R1.     I remember Pat so well when my mom (Roma) and Mary Knight rented her store in Caledon Village. I often sat in her kitchen in the back and listened to her stories, when I was just a kid. All the Brooksbanks remember her and will miss her.

    Alex and family, John and I would like to offer our condolences on the loss of your Mother, Pat Thompson. Although we did not know her, we know you, how kind and considerate you are, and we are quite sure, “Mom” had something to do with it.     Although we did not know you in person we knew you in spirit as the wonderful ‘mum’ you were to Ed & Coral. However, we came to know you over the years through the lovely stories we heard about you from Ed & Coral. Sleep now.
