Gary, Deb & family: When the Lord calls our loved ones home, he leaves a gift of memories in exchange. I have one of those precious memories as I recall my last pot luck at church in Grand Valley and to remember the person I chose to sit beside that day. Yes, Merle & I did have a little way of chatting about whatever and always enjoyed her look on life.
When your heart is empty, filling it with happy memories can help you through many many dark hours.
My love and prayers are with Merle’s family and send blessings your way to keep you strong.
    Lovingly…….Phylis

Aunt Merle had an impact on who I am today. Right from birth – until as of today. For that I am very grateful. I will always remember those special Christmas family gatherings at her home and our time together at the Monetville Reunions. I love you and I will miss you.

To the Whitworth family – our thoughts and prayers are with you.

    Love Scotty, Sharon and Candace

We have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Ben and Aunt Merle – one that still brings a smile to my face is the story of them having a barbeque seating themselves on the same side of the picnic table, – it turning over sending them both into the rose bush – Uncle Ben could tell that story with great gusto and both Hether and myself had a great laugh.

Their lives were invested in the family to such an extent all who were a part have so much to be grateful for.

When someone you love becomes a memory.
    The memory becomes a treasure.

Ted and Gary – you were so fortunate to have Aunt Merle as your mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

    Cousin Alice

    To the Whitworth Family
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We have lots of great memories of Ben and Merle and snowmobiling together on the farm; food and fellowship in the basement of your home. Thinking of all of you.

A better Grandma we could not ask for. You were so much more than any of us deserved. Thank you for everything… You and Grandpa are so much a part of the person that I am today. Saying thank you is not enough and yet I can not find any other words. I cherish each and every memory of you and Grandpa. My heart sings knowing that the two of you are together again. I’m sure Grandpa met you with open arms and a big “sloppy kiss.” I look forward to the day we are all together again, and what a joy it will be. Thank you for everything… You will never truly know how much you meant to me.
Loving you, today, tomorrow and always… Oxox .

So many memories… Aunt Merle always had that relieved smile whenever Ted, Gary and I made it back alive from our ‘adventures’…. The enormous piles of good food she brought up to the cottage, always saying it was nothing….How bright and welcoming her little house was at Christmas time, reflecting her own warm welcoming nature…the laughing eyes that greeted us most New Year’s when we got stuck in the driveway in mud or snow on the way home “Oh, just sit down. Ben will get the tractor”.

She was a wonderful person, a caring Mother for Ted and Gary and I was privileged to share her with you, as my Aunt Merle.

    Please accept our sympathies.

    Terry and Viv

Sorry to hear of your loss. My thought go out to the family. I do remember the old neighbourhood on (Elder Mills Rd) now Rutherford, living across from the Price family. Many memories of the Whitworth’s in the fields pulling the vegitables.

Good memories and good health to everyone.

    John
