Peacefully, at Extendicare Brampton, on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, Lynda Betts (née McBride) of Orangeville, in her 75th year, beloved wife of the late Joe Betts. Loving mother of Barbara Bazin of Mono Township; Greg Betts and his wife Michelle of Meaford; Peggy Betts and her partner Ron Cox of Brampton; Tom Betts of Orangeville. Cherished Grandma of Ashley and her partner Kevin Tame, Skye, Sadie, Sam, Maggie, and T.J. Dear Great-Grandma of Ava and Brooklyn. Dear sister of Bob, Rick, Glenn McBride. Predeceased by brothers Norman, Bill, Ron, Jack, Jim, Dennis McBride and sister Joan Ferguson. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) on Friday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 27 at 2 o’clock. Followed by a reception at the funeral home. Private interment Salem Cemetery. So sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. She was a great lady and will be dearly missed. Linda and Shirley had lots of fun times during their sleepovers at our farm when they were both 16. I really got to know your Mom through our Hospital Auxiliary work at the coffee kiosk in Markdale.
