Marg, Betty, John and families, Alice and I offer our condolences on Vic’s passing. 88 years is a good life. I remember him from when we were on the farm on the 10th line of Albion as a fine man with with a ready smile. I may have seen him once since that but have seen Betty & John occasionally.

Again all our very best at this difficult time. Remember the good times; time will heal, but memories, especially good ones, stay with us for ever.

    Dear Margaret and Betty
This is another message form the past. I remember you all very fondly. I can still Mr Gate’s,his hat sitting in a jaunty friendly fashion, pulling up with his truck in front of the school to take me to Bolton. If it wasn’t for you and Gerald’s kindness I would not have been able to attend Brownies and Guides. You have know idea how much I appreciated it. Through the years I have thought of you often.
May your fond memories carry you though the day…love transcends all.
    Love
    Susan Paterson(Weeks)

I remember spending time on the farm with Uncle Vic as a young boy. There were many lessons learned that only come from a life on a farm. Always a fair and just Man. A good sense of fun and adventure .

    Gone but not forgtten.
( you live on, when the stories of your life are told by those who knew you)
    Fairwell and thanks Uncle Vic

Marg our thoughts are with you
For 18 years as a neighbour there are many memories
Fixing the fence every spring, gardening advice, how to prune trees ( though Vic’s method was to basically cut them down ) and of course the honey hut. Every time Chris and Nicole have honey it is always compared to “Gates” honey, to-date Vic’s honey hasn’t been matched. Each time we have honey we will remember Vic.

Dad was always so proud of his first born son & always spoke so highly of him. He will be remembered as a thoughtful son to Dad and step-son to my mother. I still have some of his letters he wrote home to Mom & Dad…they certainly portrayed a beautiful person.

My favorite uncle at times puzzled me but you were my best companion. I loved to spend all the time I could on the farm with my aunt and uncle and visiting them in Nova Scotia.
I know you are in a better place, Uncle Vic, but I sure miss you.

Margaret, Bettty & John & family: So sorry to hear of the passing of Vic. I have many fond memories of the fun times I had working along side you and Vic and the many other people who put on the dances at Enniskillen Hall at Black Horse, and also the visits with you both at your home with my Mom & Dad. We are thinking of you at this sad time.
