1950 – 2015
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband to Susan (nee Golding) and father to Shannon, suddenly, in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 7, 2015. Denis was born in Windsor, Ontario to Jack and Eileen Finn (nee Fullerton), both deceased. Baby brother to John (deceased), Noreen and Reg Gayle, Kevin and his wife Mary-Ellen Finn, Brian and his wife Mary-Lynne Finn. Son-in-law to Sydney “Syd” and Evelyn Golding (nee Phillips) both deceased. Brother-in-law to Jennifer and her husband Tom Allard, Michael “Perky” and his wife Carrie Golding, and Mark Golding (deceased). Denis will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He will especially be missed by his two best four legged friends Chico and Alias “Edgar”. Denis is survived by his loving wife of 42 years. They loved to golf together, listen to Jimmy Buffett together and to most importantly laugh together. He is also survived by his only daughter Shannon, his princess and her husband Sean Saliba “The Malteser”. Denis and Susan lived in Bolton and called it their home for the last 27 years. Denis had one motto in life – You may live longer than me, but you’ll never out live me.
Cremation has taken place.
Arrangements by Egan Funeral Home, Bolton (905-857-2213). Thank you Paul for your kindness and support during this difficult time.
A celebration of Denis’ life was held at the residence.

I was sorry to hear of Denis’ passing. He and I were classmates in high school. Denis was funny, a non-conformist and always kind to me and my fellow classmates. My sincere sympathy to his wife and family.

We knew Denis to be kind and generous. He was always there if you needed him. It is hard to think of one without the other. Sue and Denis were a great team and epitomized true covenant partnership. They always loved and supported one another no matter the life circumstances. We were amazed at the tenacity that this couple showed in the storms that they faced. And they were crazy in love with their beautiful daughter Shannon and provided her with every opportunity to pursue a great life!
I know that Denis would be encouraging Sue to continue on seizing the day. To keep on keepin on as the old saying goes.

Susan and Shannon,
I am so sorry to learn of Denis’ passing. He will be missed. I am smiling now as I think of the fun times we had together and of all the “Finners” he told. Denis was truly a free spirit and now his spirit is free. Rock on, Denis.
