Suddenly, at Victoria Hospital, London, on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, Gertrude Langer, in her 82nd year, beloved wife of the late Paul Langer, Orangeville. Loving mother of Thomas Langer and his wife Mary of Prescott; Richard Langer and Carolyn Myatt (Mallory and Jeremy) of Orangeville. Cherished grandmother of Michael Langer and his partner Andrea Stewart, Lindsay Langer and her partner Trevor Bowie, and Emily Langer. Dear great-grandmother of Skylar and Mikayla.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) Friday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday morning, April 10 at 11 o’clock. Followed by cremation.

We were saddened to read of Gertie’s sudden passing. Enjoyed working with her at the herald for years …. altho she & Mac had a passion for calling the house very very early in the morning as I think she loved to wake us up. ( we are not morning people). Gertie was so thoughtful and brought us pieces of the Berlin Wall when it was torn down. these pieces always make us think of her and are cherished keepsakes.
