Retired after 38 years with Dominion Bridge Steel, Retired after many years with Bolton Volunteer Ambulance, Retired Sunday School Teacher with Bolton United Church, Retired member of The Boys Brigade, Director of Laurel Hill Cemetery

At Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville, on Saturday, December 25, 2010, Kenneth Ramsey McMullan, Bolton, in his 81st year, beloved husband of Phyllis Piercey. Dear father of Bruce and Fay McMullan, Haileybury; Ruth McMullan-Campbell and Bruce Campbell, Woodbridge. Loving grandfather of Marissa and Tristan McMullan. Dear brother of James (deceased) and Eunice McMullan, Beth and Arthur (deceased) Pashley, Shirley and Leonard Graham, Elva and Ron McCurdy, Maureen and John Gilbert.

The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Thursday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock. Memorial service will be held in the chapel on Friday morning, December 31 at 11 o’clock, followed by interment of cremated remains in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bolton United Church, 8 Nancy Street, Bolton L7E 1C7; Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, 610 University Avenue, 16th Floor, Toronto M5G 2M9 or Headwaters Health Care Centre Foundation, 100 Rolling Hills Drive, Orangeville L9W 4X9.

    I first met Ken McMullan as a trainee for the Bolton Volunteer Ambulance. He was a true professional and became my partner on many calls before he retired after nearly 18 years. He always met me with a smile and loved to talk about old times. He was a true gentleman always keen to help. My condolences to you Phyllis.

    I was so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. The last time I saw your dad was almost 6 years ago at my dad’s funeral. We had a nice conversation and he gave me a hug to ease my pain. He was a true gentleman.
