Margaret Frances Clingen, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, surrounded by her family.
She was born Margaret Frances Roberts on January 17, 1939, in Weston, Ontario, to her father, John Thomas Roberts, and her mother, Wilma Frances Turtle. She came to know the Lord as her Saviour at a young age and was baptized at 14. Margaret worked as a schoolteacher before raising her two sons, John and David. Later in life, she served as an administrative assistant at Eaton’s.
Margaret was a faithful servant of the Lord and had a deep love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She lived her life intentionally for others, always seeking to serve in whatever way she could. As one close friend shared, “She had a knack for making everyone feel special.” This was especially displayed in her heart for hospitality; many enjoyed her renowned roast beef dinners and perfectly made pavlova’s around her welcoming dinner table.
She is lovingly remembered by her beloved husband, Albert Henry “Harry” Clingen; her dear sister, June Yeaman, predeceased by her husband Ken; her devoted sons and daughters in law (who she treated like her own), David (Rachel) and John (Joanne); and her cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Trevor (Shelby), Jonathan (Ariana), Rebekah, Caleb (Chelsie), Josiah (Victoria), and Jacob (Samantha).
She will also be fondly remembered by her treasured great-grandchildren: Weston and Camryn (Trevor and Shelby), Viviana (Jonathan and Ariana), Chloe and Cara (Caleb and Chelsie), and Elizabeth (Josiah and Victoria).
Margaret touched many lives and was a cherished mother and grandmother figure to countless others beyond her immediate family.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Sovereign Grace Church, 1466 5 Sideroad, Bradford, ON, with a reception to follow.
The family invites those who wish to view the service through live streaming at the following link:

A private burial will precede the memorial service.
Margaret will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
There is great joy in knowing she is now home with her Lord and Saviour.

She was so thoughtful and always ready to help. Grandma June loved her and talked of and with her often. Didn’t get to see her a lot but enjoyed every minute I spent with her. Lots of love ❤️

Margaret, so like her mother, Aunt Wilma, holds deep places in many, many peoples’ hearts. The beauty of their souls, that sweet constant walk with Christ, has touched many hearts, including my own. May all Margaret’s loved ones feel the Lord’s great comfort at this time of loss, until we are all together again with Jesus.

I have been blessed to get to know David and Rachel through our church. Thank you Sovereign Grace family. I am sad to see such a beautiful soul leave this earth but so happy she went to be with our Savior Jesus. May the Lord give you all strength as He blesses you all. Phillipians 4:13 I can do all thing with Him who strengthens me.

Dear Harry & June and all of your families. Margaret and I go back to our early childhood when we lived just a street away from each other. We developed a lifelong friendship. I had many lovely visits with her family over the years. Margaret and her family were very hospitable. Margaret will be dearly missed but it comforts me that we will meet again with the Lord. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Love Ruth McNeill

Margaret was one of my greatest friends I’ve had in my life. She was the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Roberts. Margaret and June were the daughters that lived on the next street and we became wonderful friends. I had the joy of being close to her parents and family, cousins too. She is going to be greatly missed, but she is with the Lord who she loved and faithfully served from the time of a child to when the Lord took her home.

We stayed every Easter and Mimico conference weekends with Uncle Harry and Aunt Margaret when I was young. Always a happy time with a full house! A very big part of our growing up and such Gold friends with my parents❣️
