So sorry to see Jim’s obit. I’ve known Jim and Orma for several years through tax preparation exercises. I always enjoyed talking with Jim in the Sorrento lobby in front of the little red Fiat sports car. We often joked about someday we would drive that car out of the lobby. Also we talked about the old days – much older for Jim because of our age difference but Jim told me about how he used to waterski on the Nottawasaga river when he was younger.

From his obit I see he was quite an athlete in many ways and in many sports.

    R.I.P. Jim

    Dear Orma
I was so sorry to learn of Jim’s passing when in to Sorento Thursday. My sincere condolences to you and your family. Although I have known both you and Jim since school days, I felt I also knew your family because of how you and Jim talked about their progress. Your beautiful obituary pointed out the extent of Jim’s contributions to so many different areas of interest both locally and nationally. It was exceptional and so worthwhile, especially for the young people who benefited from his leadership and training skills. The communities of Nashville, Bolton and beyond are the benefactors of Jim’s volunteerism and dedication to youth, through Scouting, Sports and Camping. May the memories of his involvement be of help for you and your family at this time.

Jim was my cub leader in the early 1970’s. He was a positive force in my childhood. I remember going camping at Heart Lake conservation area and at Camp Hilljack. It was also nice to visit as an older adult. RIP

Orma and family – Sending condolences on Jim’s passing. I wonder if you will remember us or not, it’s been so long since we’ve seen each other. Lots of fond memories of you when we were still living in the Schomberg area, and Laura was still alive.
Please know we’re thinking of you.
