Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Tall Pines Long Term Care, Brampton, on Sunday, January 18, 2026, Nancy Lister, at the age of 92 years, beloved wife of the late Edward Lister. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Susan and David Budvet, David and Joan Lister, Daniel and Karen Lister. Cherished grandmother of Beverly and Braulio Ugarte, Philip Lister, Crystal and Dale Nichiporik, Sarah and Bob Semple, Mallorie and Chris Smirle. Proud great grandmother of Matthew, Dylan, Kaitlyn, and Kelsi. Predeceased by her parents Virginie and Norbert Jutras. Dear sister of the late Jeanne, Philippe, Arthur, Ernest, Simon, Irene, Clement, Andre, Hilaire, and Roland.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen St. S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Thursday, January 22 from 11 o’clock until time of leaving at 12:30 p.m. for a Funeral Mass at one o’clock at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 16066 The Gore Road, Caledon.

I’m so sorry for your loss.
As a young mother with a child at Sick Kids, Aunt Nancy was there for me. After a long day at the hospital I was welcomed into her home with a hot snack, kind support and a warm bed.
This hospitality was offered to many in her large extended family. We are so grateful.
As she travelled the bumpy road of Alzheimers, we shared many long distance calls. They led to how she missed uncle Ted. “He was a good man “ she would always say.
As I close my eyes, I see her with her good man. It warms my heart.

Sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of your mom. I remember her warm smile, kind heart and open arms on our many trips to Toronto to attend the Sick Kids hospital. I remember the warmth of your parents’ inviting home more than the hospital itself (thank goodness!). These were some core memories for me (BBQs, suppers, snacks, a comfy bed to sleep in, laughter).
