Lennie, Sarah and Evan. We are deeply sorry for the loss of such a wonderful man. And an important man to so many who loved him. The Strachan family has always been such an important part of the Hutchinson family. Jim was not only a long time friend and business partner to my dad, he was a brother. People always thought they were twins. In some ways, I think they were. I’m so grateful for growing up with that relationship in my own life, and I’m sorry that I didn’t know Jim better in more recent years. Jim was always so funny and brought a light to every room. He was very good at saying it all with just a look!

The path ahead may be difficult, but through the strength of your family bond, you will get through it together.

He will be missed, but the love continues.

    Lennie, Sarah, Rob, Evan
We will miss Jim but not as much as you. For 2 months of the year he was part of our family. He was a great friend and sometimes acted as referee; the referee part was missed these past 2 seasons. I really liked his taste in wine. When he couldn’t handle some of the ‘less expensive’ vintages, we knew that the following week Jim would endow us with one of his special vintages. He really was a great buddy and I really missed his humor, help, advice and again wine. The past couple of seasons without Jim I’ve had to make do with ‘others’. Along with his great wine taste and his ability to communicate with young skiers he liked his scotch. We did spend some long cold evenings huddled around a Glenlivet or Glenmorangie solving world and ski school problems. But next morning Jim was up and ready to get to “session” with his snow snake – that’s another story.
Lennie – we are out of town and unfortunately won’t be back in time to say our goodbyes, but please accept our condolences.
    Andy/Julie
