God called Vilma home to rest on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at the age of 76, after living with a decade-long battle of frontotemporal dementia. Vilma is reunited with her parents Francesco and Lidia Vani, her sister Gennarina and her brother-in-law Felice. Beloved sister of Costantino and Maria. Sister-in-law of Liliana and Angelo. Cherished aunt to Ed, August (Arminda), Sandra (Tiziano) and Sabrina. Vilma’s great nieces and nephew Alessandra, Adrianna, Antonia, Daniela, Angela, Dario, Isabella and Lidia were blessed to have grown up with the most caring Zia Mimma.
She had the most beautiful eyes. Always with a warm smile on her face, her joyful spirit lit up all those who knew her. Vilma will be held dear in the hearts of her family relatives and many friends. In our home she is fondly remembered. Sweet memories cling to her name. Those who loved her in life sincerely still love her in death the same.
Due to the global pandemic, nine immediate family members will attend the funeral service at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) and interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton. A celebration of Vilma’s life will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada in memory of Vilma. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com
