    John,
What a gem Ulli was, her beautiful smile, her embracing hugs, her warm heart, always showing forth the glory of God. She was a vessel of honour unto the Lord.
I enquired of her well being often as the Lord brought her to my mind many times.
She is and always will be a beautiful sister in the Lord and I was blessed to have known her for a time and season.
I pray that the God of comfort embrace all of you and give you the strength and peace that will be needed today and the days to come.
    With much love, Penny

I’ve been reading on how to tell Ulli (and John’s) twin GodChildren about Ulli’s passing. I found this reading and thought it said so much about how all of us should and do feel that I’d share it here:

“There is very little to say that’s comforting about people dying whom you’ve loved. But I will say that the lives you see end, a person you hold in the past, will find a way to break through into the present. Like bubbles rising to the surface, their energy can’t be contained: a photo, a note in the margins of a book, a hint of how they moved in a stranger on the subway platform, a shared joke you can’t explain to anyone else, even the pain of remembered loss brings them back to you.”

My personal remembrances from our time at Ryerson (yes we’ve known each other since we were 19) and her call on the day the twins were born (they share a birthdate) along with so many other memories of times by ourselves or with our families are too many to mention but she will always live in our hearts – never to be forgotten.

Remember to tell the people you love how much you love them – even when they are gone because I KNOW they are always near by……..

Aunt Ulli brought light and love to this world. With her passing, the world has become a little dimmer. She was a beautiful presence in our lives. Uncle John, the love between you two was evident and beautiful. Alexandra, Chrysta, and Nick…she beamed with pride whenever she spoke of you (and your spouses). Aunt Ulli was a beautiful soul with whom to share this faith-journey. Every now and then I’d get a Christian book in the mail from her and would be so timely and pertinent. We will greatly miss her beaming smile, infectious laugh, and warm hugs. Rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord my dear aunt. We will see you again one glorious day. Uncle John and family, and the Doma family, please know that you are all being held tenderly in heart and prayer. Wish we could be there. Sending much love. Lia, Rick, Liam, James and Thomas

I am truly sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. I hope the McInnis family find comfort and strength in Jesus promise along with our heavenly father Jehovah of the earthly resurrection, where death will be eliminated forever. Truly, what a glorious and almost unbelievable day that will be! It’s a reality though for God cannot lie!
