    Sherry,

I really don’t have the perfect words to say to you at this difficult time, but let me try and all I promise is that it comes straight from my heart.

I’ve worked with Terry for almost 29 years and besides the job, we’ve also had other interests in common. We both loved hiking and he was quick to show me some of the best trails around Bolton. I fondly remember walking too far from home and you graciously driving out to pick us up.

I will miss Terry very much. My heart goes out to you, I can’t imagine how your life will be without your husband, partner and friend. Just know how much Terry meant to everyone and thank you for sharing him with us.

    RIP Terry

Words cannot express the tremendous impact that Terry had on all of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. I know that his Humber motorcycle family will forever hold his memory in their hearts. He was an amazing friend, an exceptional instructor and a truly “gentle”man. I know wherever he is now, that he is teaching new riders the finer points of riding a motorcycle. May he rest in pain free peace. Karen

    October 19, 2015 at 9:07 am

Terry involved our children in the St. John Ambulance Dog Training and they never forgot how much they enjoyed their time. They grew up watching Terry walk his precious dogs daily and it was something we became accustomed to as part of our lives. We didn’t need to know him well to know he was a kind, helpful and generous man. We all commented and were concerned when we didn’t see his daily walks even if it was a just a week or so. But shortly thereafter he would reappear again. We are all so shocked and sad this is not the case this time and we know we will feel his presence on Hesp forever.

Sherry we send you strength during this difficult time. Grant, Denise, Danielle and Jennifer.

Terry was an amazing man and we are both the better for having had him in our lives. There are so many great memories that we will hold on to. Terry had an optimistic heart and a beautiful outlook on life. The Humber Motorcycle community , the students who he has touched and those who he did not – will all miss him dearly.
Terry told me not too long ago that he is going to the same place as the rest of us are going… He’s just going there a but sooner.
Terry – check out the best roads heaven has to offer. We’ll ride together someday.

Dear Sherry & the Fast & Panteleit Families

It is with heavy hearts we send this condolence. Terry and you (Sherry) and Jenny & Lucas have always been a permanent fixture in our lives, that we can’t imagine life without our beloved friend. He was an amazing man who NEVER met a stranger. We will always remember Terry sticking his head through our passenger-side window for a chat, while Jenny & Lucas were either starting or finishing their latest trek. He was always interested in what was happening in our lives, and always had a treat for Madison & Riley & Maggie Mae. We will always remember his visits to our home to train Madison for her work as a Therapy Dog, and the visits we made to the King Nursing Home and the Vera Davis Nursing Home. Terry had the biggest heart, and no task was too great for him not to assist. As his dear wife, Sherry, and as his family, you know all of these things, but we wanted to let you know that he was that way with everyone he came into contact with. Terry was one of a kind, and we were blessed to call him friend. We know Terry is out walking with Jenny on Rainbow Bridge! Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this most difficult time.

Sherry, my sincerest condolences on Terry’s passing. I cannot believe that such a bright light has been extinguished.
Terry and I met through our love of dogs and the desire to share their gift of love and devotion to those who were no longer able to keep a pet of their own. Terry & I became fast friends and spent countless weekends travelling to evaluate prospective dogs and their handlers for the S.J.A. Therapy Dog Program. Our friendship continued even after our St. John lives ended and I will truly miss his enthusiasm and fast wit.
I am so sorry that I did not get to tell him goodbye but I am sure that he is looking down saying “I had a good run, don’t cry for me”
My heart aches for you and your family Sherry, this world has lost a good man. God Bless you and please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sherry, we are so very sorry for the loss of our beloved Terry. A very kind, thoughtful guy, who always had time for a visit and a cup of tea with anyone he met.He was the original ‘Care bear’ with a huge heart, and a great love for all of the people and animals he ever met. Sherry, your courage, strength and love will always be remembered as you cared for Terry during his illness right up to the end; and he left with his best friends by his side- you and Lucas.Take care of yourselves now, as Terry would want you to. Sherry&Terry, your names and lives meshed so well right from start. It’s hard to imagine how there can ever be one without the other.

    Dear Family of Terry,

I met Terry through our mutual commitment in the St John Ambulance Therapy Dog program in 1993. We worked together at the Brampton Branch at that time, and over the years saw the entire SJA-TD program expand. His love of dogs was obvious, and his commitment and enthusiasm was infectious. When I had to move from the GTA to Windsor, he and Sherry were the first friendly and familiar SJA I met at a child-certification test. He will be missed, but never forgotten. My deepest sympathies to his family. sandra Hall
