    Dear Sue and family,

I am so very sad to hear the news that Bob has passed away.

Bob was a wonderful person and I will always be grateful for the opportunity that he gave me as a young man entering the world of full-time work post university. Bob hired me as a sales rep at Santa Fe Beverages and this started what has been for the most part, over 30 years in the beverage industry for me. It might have never happened if Bob had not seen past my lack of experience and given me a chance.

I remember Bob as a strong leader and being incredibly passionate about his business. Results and fun both came together! Most importantly, I remember having lunch with Bob several years ago after reconnecting, and seeing the big smile he had on his face as he shook my hand and gave me a big hug. “Hi pal” as he would always say. We talked about business for about 5 minutes and the conversation then shifted to family for the next two hours. Bob talked about you Sue and was so proud of Sam and Carly. He just seemed so content with life.

God bless Bob (“Army”) Armstrong and may he rest in peace.

    With deepest sympathy,

    Rich Andrews

We hope the many memories of good times help you all during this difficult time.

    Our sincere condolences,

Very surprised and saddened by Bob’s passing and at such a young age. My sincere condolences. Sue, you may not remember but you and Bob, with Sam and Carly, attended our 40th wedding anniversary on the lake in Collingwood in 1998. I retired in 2001, as President of the LCBO, and live full time now in Collingwood. Sounds like you have lots of loving family and friends to comfort you.

Sue. I am so so sad to hear about Bob’s passing. I have many fond memories of our Molson Corona days, dinners and outings with both of you. Dan had the highest regard for Bob both as a businessman and person. He was kind and lovely to me. Big giant hug to you and the kids. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am sure you know that Dan died suddenly on May 17. We are just getting over the shock. Not sure when the sadness will fade. Pam Freeman too just lost her lovely husband John. It is too sad.

Sue. If you ever want to call and chat i would love to connect. 514-975-7704

Dear Sue, Sam , Carly and family. I was so deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Bob. “Army”. I look fondly back at my time with Santa Fe Beverages and the strong “family” bonds forged with everyone there, due in no small part to Bob. I worked for Bob for 8 years . He was such a warm, wonderful, happy person, with his ever present smile and his genuine interest in those around him. He was always so supportive, a mentor, but most of all, he was a such great friend to me. We would periodically meet up for lunch over the years, and he always shared news of his family, that he was so proud of. Sue, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.
    With My Deepest Sympathy

    To the Armstrong family,
Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. I still remember interviewing with Bob at MMI many years ago and I so much appreciated his love for getting to know people and sharing stories about his family. The Monday morning meetings to talk about our weekend was always such a joy. He was a kind and passionate leader and will no doubt be missed by anyone who knew him.

Dear Sue, Dear Sam, Dear Carly,
I just heard your sad news and am finding it hard to find words to convey how shocked and sad I am to read you have lost you beloved partner and father. Such a gentle giant towering up so high to reach the sky. He never needed to say a whole lot; his eyes and smile seemed to let you know he was there if you needed anything. I am so deeply sorry for your loss, for the ache in your hearts. Tears….I am so sorry Sue, Sam and Carly. Warmest love, Lynn

Dear Sue so very very sorry to hear about Bob. He was by far a favourite customer as he was such a pleasant and kind individual and always treated all of us with such respect. And then years later the pleasure of working with you, a perfect couple. Prayers to you and your family.

To , Sam and Carly…I can hardly type this message because your Father was so , so special..It is certainly emotional….

As you know, we worked together at Molson/SantaFe for several years. He was the Sales Director and I was the Marketing Director. Normally, these two positions clash, but in the case of “Army”, we always had a good time , a lot of fun, and a very special working and personal relationship.

We travelled together on many memorable trips to Mexico and within Canada and had many neat experiences.

He always tried to help me and I learned so much from him. Even when my son Scott was looking for one of his first jobs, your Father was so instrumental in hiring him…

Your Dad had a big heart and tried to help so many people!! What an amazing person your Dad was…

To Sue, you know I can easily fill pages of memories with Bob, from golf outings, Indy racing, trips all over, etc., One of my best memories of Bob was when I first met you! A match made in Heaven. He always spoke highly of you and loved you so much.

Nothing can replace “Army”. A big Man with and even bigger heart…

Lots of Love to you and your Children, I will forever miss Bob….

As time passes, it is still hard to believe that Bob has left us. He was a colourful character in the beverage alcohol business, transcending so many areas of the industry from wine to beer to craft beer to imports to “manufacturing”. Fond memories. Deepest sympathies to family and friends.
