Muriel Isabel (nee Howard) passed away peacefully at her home in Caledon East at the age of 76 years, on Friday, July 22, 2016 , beloved mother of Kristine Rasmussen (Stuart Snyder), Lisa Rasmussen (Michael Ekelid). Cherished grandmother of Alexander Ekelid, Denmark. A special thank you to all of her in home caregivers, her CCAS home caregivers, the Smith family, doctors, family and friends who made it possible for her to stay in her home.
The family will receive their friends at Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Thursday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock. Funeral service will be held in St. James Anglican Church, 6025 Old Church Road, Caledon East on Friday, July 29 at 2 o’clock. Interment St. James Anglican Cemetery, Caledon East. Reception to follow at St. James Anglican Church. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Caledon East Fire Department, 6085 Old Church Road, Caledon L7C 1G6. It is with sadness that I hear of the passing of Muriel. I knew Muriel through the Gibbons and Campsall families and both Bea and Josie have passed away since then. I know that they would have extended their thoughts and prayers to the family at this sad time. I did visit with Muriel and her Mom several times during that time.
