Mark Learn

December 27, 2016 By Egan Funeral Home 68 Condolences

Learn Mark Web

Peacefully at Bethell Hospice, Inglewood, on Monday, December 26, 2016, Mark Learn, in his 53rd year, beloved husband of Fatima.  Proud father of Nelson and Victoria.  Loved son of Roger and Mary-Louise Learn.  Dear brother of Bryan and Julie.  We thank the nurses and staff of Bethell Hospice, for the wonderful envinronment and amount of care that was provided to Mark during his final days with us.  Despite his condition throughout his brief stay at the hospice, we believe everything was done to make him as comfortable as possible, surrounded by a family who cared for him very deeply.  Mark was taken from us at a very young age, leaving us with heavy hearts, yet his aspirations and memory will be carried on by his friends and family going into the future, never to be forgotten.

The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street South (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Friday morning, December 30 from 10 o’clock until time of memorial service in the chapel at 11 o’clock.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to Bethell Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 75, Inglewood L7C 3L6 or Ronald McDonald House, 240 McCaul Street, Toronto M5T 1W5.

Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

It’s so hard to imagine a world without Mark.

His smiling face, his big heart, his generous nature.

All of our lives are less vibrant without him – yet I feel grateful to have known him and have the honour of calling him family.

He died with the same courage and determination that he was known for in life. Most importantly he died knowing how loved he was.

Fatima, Nelson, Victoria, Bryan, Julie, Roger and Mary-Louise, your loss is unfathomable. There are no words.

His family was so important to him – you were his world. I am certain Mark takes comfort in the fact that you are still there to support each other and keep his family strong.

Please don’t feel alone in your grief. Your friends and family around the world are here for you.

We mourn with you and we want you to know how loved you are.

Just found out late in January that Mark passed away in December. Both Cathy and myself would have liked to have seen him again. I cannot believe how things changed since we all met in June of last year. My family fondly remembers all the activities we did together as the kids were growing up. Hopefully we can continue those contacts in the future as well.

Dear Fatima, Nelson, Victoria and Family,

My sincere condolences. I did not know until I tried calling Mark today and instead found his obituary.

I cannot begin to express how much I loved Mark. Going through college we were close and I would not have graduated if not for Mark’s perseverance.

He was a great man, husband, father, brother and friend. The world lost a great man.

I was fortunate to talk to Mark last year and I know he told me it was bad but as Mark always did I expected him to beat it.

I have so many memories with Mark I will never forget him.
