On Monday, September 19, 2011, Leonilde Zaina, passed away peacefully in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Domenico Zaina. Loving mother of Mario and his wife Lucia, Sergio and his wife Dorran. Cherished grandmother of Candice, Steven, Nicole, Christopher and Andrea. Great-grandmother to Emily. Dear sister of Ernesto and Delia in Cordenons, Italy.
Visitation will be held at Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Tuesday, September 20 from 4:00 PM– 9:00 PM.
A celebration of her life will be held at St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Albion, 16066 The Gore Road, Caledon East on Wednesday morning, September 21st at 10 o’clock (leaving funeral home at 9:30 AM).
Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, 7241 Jane St. (at Hwy 407).
Parish prayers will be held on Tuesday evening at 8:30 o’clock.

Each time I drive past your moms apt. I’ll hear her words,
“2 hours” as she tapped her watch. This was always the
first thing she said when I’d pick her up to come visit you
guys.
Jessica still gets a chuckle from the chocolates Nona gave
her. How excited she was to get her very own box to eat.
Only to discover they tasted BAD !!
I still remember Jessica’s face when Uncle Sergie told us they
had booze in them !! We all laughed, poor Nona couldn’t read
the small print. The box looked good so she got them for her.
Jessica still laughs over it.
After the funeral she made the comment that her cheeks will miss Nona, nobody to pitch them now.
Still doesn’t seem real, definitely have an empty spot in our lives.
