Peacefully at his home, John Borg, of Bolton, in his 85th year, beloved husband of Vivian of 57 years. Loving father of Frank and Rose, Paul and Adriana, Victor and Kelly, Joanne and Thomas Wildfang, Carmen and Nick Armata, Madeleine and Dominic Micieli, Happie and Faramarz Amirfhahi. Adored and cherished Nannu of John and Samantha, and Mark; Jennifer and Jorge, Andrea and Terry, Alicia and Chad, and Chloe; Evonne and Aydin, and Clare; Michael, Andrew and Deirdre, Kaitlyn and Amanda; Anthony and Maria, Victoria and Madeleine; Gabrielle and Alexandra; Stella. Precious great- Nannu of Julian, Jayla, Leyla and James. Dear brother of Virginia, Bice and predeceased by Paul, Joe, Charles, Tony, Mary and Assunta. John was born in Malta and immigrated to Canada in 1950. Although John and Vivian raised their family here and he was a very proud Canadian, he kept Malta close to his heart. His greatest love was his wife Vivian and his family. He worked for Dominion for 35 years. After his retirement, they enjoyed travelling and spending time with their grandchildren and more recently, their great-grandchildren. John’s faith for his church was his commitment and devotion in life. He prayed for everyone. John loved life and lived every day to the fullest. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. He will never be forgotten. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Constance Weicker and her wonderful team in her office for their exemplary care and compassion for John. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Wednesday evening 7 – 9, Thursday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock.
Funeral Mass will be held in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 60 Allan Drive, Bolton on Friday, March 7 at 10 o’clock (leaving funeral home at 9:45 a.m.).
Entombment Assumption Cemetery, Mississagua.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus or ShareLife.
